serious-lit is excited to expand into the physical realm with its line of chapbooks. These are little black books that you can use to annoy your co-workers, toss onto the roof, and occasionally end all wars.
We accept up to 5,000 words for poetry and 10,000 words for fiction. If you send anything longer than that, it will be ignored.
If we accept your work for publication, the process is pretty straightforward. We send you a contract, ask for your preferred payment (PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, whatever), then run your manuscript into Amazon KDP and design the layout and cover. We then email you some preview snaps and the full copyedited manuscript for your approval. If everything looks good, we’ll ship your print proof copy for you to review before we publish it.
Royalties are split 60/40 in your favor each month after Amazon takes its cut.
If everything sounds good, send your chapbook to seriouslitmag AT gmail.com.
